Rauchbier, anyone had success?

So I tried my hand at one last night with just straight beechwood smoked malt saaz mash hops and perle bitter and flavor hops but also added smoked salt to the wort at the end likes gose hybrid style. Anyone made a rauchbier successfully with some feedback??
 
a KISS method with rauch has worked for me. 60% or more rauchmalt, the remainder pilsner or two row. maybe a bit of carafa for color. bittering hops only, no flavor hops.
