Just ordered this on Amazon.

Lived in Germany for 7 years and my kids are still there with their mom and I go back every few months.

My favorite brewery is alten Munster and they still brew a couple of these but small batch reserves and only directly from the brewery.. glad this book came along so I can take a swing at these.

Nice article on Andreas Krennmair's Historic German and Austrian Beers for the Home Brewer, which includes recipes for 22 obscure styles such as Merseburger and who could resist "Augsburger Lager has a really weird way of mashing"?

That sounds like a really interesting read. I will buy it, together with the suabp book about milds, just to make sure I will keep the connection with the country I live in :D
