I brewed a four way split batch SMasSH with maris otter and a different hop planned for each fermenter: cascade, citra, EKG, and Hallertau. I did a single mash and collected about 9 gallons to do four 2.25 gallon boils and end up with 1.75 gallon batches in four white plastic 2 gallon icing bucket fermenters. It all went as planned except for broken glass in boil #3 (doh), so the EKG and Hallertau both went in need the same batch. The were both opened and I didn't want to waste one.

I bottled it today.

The citra left a heavy yellowish stain.
The cascade left light yellowish stain.
The EKG/Hallertau double hop combo left no stain at all.

I figure it's due to the higher AA% and more oil in the citra. I couldn't scrub it out with pbw. Doesn't really matter, but I thought it was interesting. Here's a picture, even though it doesn't show up very well.
