Tasting Notes
Very nice bitter flavor, but lacking in the flavor hops. Nice light malty flavor.

1.0 pkg SafAle English Ale (DCL/Fermentis #S-04) Yeast

Mashed at 152* for 60 minutes.

BIAB brew with a gallon sparge while the bag drained over the boil kettle.

I must have boiled this harder than I thought because I was really under the target post boil volume. I had to top off with some water. I'm thinking that this threw off my OG reading which was 1.055, but I know that I'm not that bad with my efficiency...

It has more of a red/amber color than the picture shows, but I think it has a really nice color.

The taste is not as strong in the flavor hops as I would like. The bittering flavor is really nice. I'd have to say that is due to the First Wort Hopping. I'm liking the FWH... I'm planning on doing this one again and increasing the flavor & aroma hops by at least double. I may substitute the Cascade with some more potent hops. I really like the flavor and aroma of the Citra.
