How do you guys cut the square openings for PIDs? I was thinking drilling the corners and a jigsaw for the edges, but I am sure someone has a more precise method.
My CP is made from a salvaged heavy duty stainless steel box, and I didn't want to deal with trying to cut through that. I found a machinist on craigs list looking for part time work after hours, and he used a water jet to cut out the whole cover for $75.
Use a dremel tool with cut out disks for the corners and angle grinder cut disks for the long stretches (if thick metal), just be prepared to go through lots of the dremel disks if your material is thick metal!
