Hey guys,

Is there any problems with having a C02 canister in contact with ice inside a modified cooler for dispensing? Do i need to make a barrier to insulate the C02 tank from the ice? Its a 20oz tank made for paintball by the company Spyder. Its a thick walled, solid tank.

My plan currently is to secure the tank and gauges to the back of the cooler with segments of PVC pipe secured with bondo to the sides of the Ice Cube cooler.

Thoughts?

Thanks in advance!

Co2 only turns to ice when being released into a low pressure environment, it won't freeze while under pressure in the tank.

Awesome thanks fellas. That's what i figured, no harm. I knew it wouldn't freeze, just didn't want any strange line problems or such. Guess i am being overly cautious.

There's 2 things that kinda scare me, electricity and high pressure gas :)
