Question: What spigot dispenser would work for my situation?

I'm not a brewer, I'm trying to adapt a Brewers Best steel pot to a water storage container. This pot has a 1/2 thread spigot attached to it similar to this

Given that I just want to dispense the water into a bottle, a spigot like this is inconvenient. I want to use a dispenser spigot similar to:

But, I don't know if this would thread as its just meant to thread onto itself through a hole. Does anyone know what spigot I could use to accomplish my needs?

1/2" NPT (National Pipe Thread) fitting is what you have. It looks to me like that spigot you link to will work. Use some teflon tape so you don't gall the threads.
