Hi,

I just started doing partial mashes, so I'm also starting to look at my water profile. I use BeerSmith 2 for my recipes, so I'm attempting to enter the values for our city water.

Everything is pretty straight forward, except for the alkalinity and hardness. Our city water report lists a couple of values for CaCO3, and I'm not sure if I've entered everything correctly. I used the instructions off BeerSmith to convert the CaCO3 to Bicarbonate (amount times 61/50), but I'm not sure if I used the correct value. I've included our city water report and my BeerSmith entries below.

The one missing value was magnesium. I found a website that lists magnesium for a number of cities, including Lincoln, so I used that.

Thanks for your help!
