So I went to my LHBS to snag up my items for my Cherry Wheat Ale im doing tomorrow. They did not hve White Labs American Hefe Yeast on hand. So I picked up WLP 300. I have used WLP 300 in the past for a belgian hefe I did. I remember it leaves banana/clove taste in the brew. Will this yeast combine both flavors and create a nasty or random flavor? Anyone use WLP 300 in a fruit beer?

Haven't personally done a fruit beer with 300, but I see recipes for a lot of folks who have, so I say you are in good shape. Hefes start to lose some flavor over time, so if it's too weird early on, jus age the beer for a while. The cherry flavor should stick around a long time and get better with age.
