I'm putting toether a a hoppy little pale ale atm, something that crosses American hopping levels, a blonde ale and European hops; northern brewer and Styrian Goldings.

What I'm aiming for is something with a nice bite and a clue by four of hoppy flavour and aroma. But I'm not 100% sure about the hopping schedule. So far I've got this:

Recipe Specifications
--------------------------
Batch Size: 23.00 L
Boil Size: 26.33 L
Estimated OG: 1.048 SG
Estimated Color: 10.5 EBC
Estimated IBU: 37.1 IBU
Brewhouse Efficiency: 75.00 %
Boil Time: 60 Minutes

Ingredients:
------------
Amount Item Type % or IBU
3.79 kg Pilsner (2 Row) Ger (3.9 EBC) Grain 79.17 %
0.47 kg Munich Malt (17.7 EBC) Grain 9.90 %
0.26 kg Wheat Malt, Bel (3.9 EBC) Grain 5.50 %
0.26 kg Melanoiden Malt (39.4 EBC) Grain 5.43 %

25.00 gm Northern Brewer [9.26 %] (60 min) Hops 22.3 IBU
30.00 gm Northern Brewer [9.26 %] (15 min) Hops 14.8 IBU
30.00 gm Styrian Goldings [3.90 %] (0min) Hops -
45.00 gm Styrian Goldings [3.90 %] (Dry Hop 3 daysHops -
1 Pkgs East Coast Ale (White Labs #WLP008) Yeast-Ale

My concern is that the Styrian is going to completely overwhelm the Northern Brewer characteristics? Should I perhas swap the Styrian at flame out with the NB at 15 minutes. Or does this look safe enough as it is?

I've tweaked it a bit, changed the 15 mint NB to a 5 minute NB and upped it to 45g. It's not going to be as hoppy as it once was, but given how pale this is, I don't think it'll be a major issue.

25.00 gm Northern Brewer [9.26 %] (60 min) Hops 22.3 IBU
45.00 gm Northern Brewer [9.26 %] (5 min) Hops 8.9 IBU
30.00 gm Styrian Goldings [3.90 %] (0 min) - -
45.00 gm Styrian Goldings [3.90 %] (Dry Hop 14 days Hops

I think this should be interesting since although it will be a blonde ale the melnoidin should give it a nice, subtle red hue.

The dry hopping is a bit up in the air. Maybe another hop? I've got some Hallertau that I could use since it seems to have a similar aroma profile to NB but it should be better. Any thoughts? (That is if the server lets someone reply :D )
