I made some mead....

But alas it's gonig to be monthes till it's done i understand that.

My question is, it seems that i wasnt able to transfer some of the mead, not i'm missing some of it.
Could i add water to it? would that mess it up?!

I'm at a loss

Depends on how much you need to add. If you are talking about going from primary to secondary then there isn't as much issue. If it's a traditional just water if it a cyser or melomel then you could use a juice of a like flavor.
