putting together a stir plate/ old guitar pots

hi. i am currently gathering up old computers and hard drives for a stir plate. i was getting ready to buy the 25 ohm pots but i think i already have a bunch. i have about 6 junk guitars. think those will work? now i dont know if they are 25ohm or not. ill have to research them but has anyone ever used them?

What happens if they are 500k? will it just spin too fast? from what i read, i think i need to use the volume or tone as those are usually 25k.

so hopefully someone plays/played guitar and reused the pots for experience and can give some advice.
