Alright I want some definitive feedback regarding brew pumps......
March
Or
Little Giant

The main criteria being wort swirl and lack of areation when pumped and cost.

yup, they both pump... i'm partial to the little giant, but that's the only one I own...

Haven't used it on a batch yet but I went with a march 815 (the high flow) center inlet with a bronze head. It was about $175 shipped from tesco pumps.

It's rated to flow 8 gallons per minute which I think will be adequate for 10 gal batches if it is plumbed properly. I am building my new rig with 3/4 inlet piping to accommodate this pump.

The center inlet and 815 impeller improve flow considerably over the standard 809.

The little giant isn't rated for boiling liquids while the march is. It's not a big deal but I wasn't going to pay more for a pump with a lesser rating and an easily broken plastic head.

You can't go wrong with either (or chugger), it's just preference/cost...
