Well I have been using a standard sump pump for my keg cleaner and I now have experienced the dreaded oil leak resulting from leaky seals.

In researching pumps, I think the best options would be an "oil-free" sump pump:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000HOT3YI/?tag=skimlinks_replacement-20
or a pond pump:

A more complicated alternative would be a march or chugger pump although I am not sure if the standard home brewing size is powerful enough.

Any opinions?

How would you use a pump for cleaning kegs? I ask because I have an extra and if it's better than my current method, I'm in!

Current method:
Fill keg with...

Let soak for whatever amount of time.

Empty and place on super custom keg rinsing apparatus...

Rinse for 3 minutes, sanitize, then fill keg with delicious goodness.

Funny timing because I’m putting another keg washer together and just returned from getting my pond pump out of storage. Use it for hydroponics.

I have my new sump pump on bench but decided to go with aquarium pump. If you check MoreBeer at these the “Kegblaster”is preferable to Mark’s on whole. Mark’s product is still fine though.
Check their pump capacity and match, or exceed if possible. I’ll know by evening how it goes.

Cheers 🍻
Acquaer Model UTP033-2 if interested. Less than $50 at Lowe’s right now.
Cheers 🍻
