Hello,
My name is Alex. Got into brewing recently. I'm an anesthetist by training. Great forum.
I would like to share my recent first dip into this hobby. I got an extract kit Chinook IPA. My OG was like 1.03. So, I'm thinking wtf, I must not have mixed it up enough. Whatever.
During fermentation, I think it bubbled briefly at some point. But I never seen it bubble for 2 weeks. Although there was a fermenting smell. I get all the way to bottling. It's all bottled up now.
Then I notice the bag of DME, lol. I never added it. Just the LME was added.
I popped a few bottles, fizzes and taste like beer. Not bad....... So umm did I just make near beer? Like 3% ? Lol.
I got another batch fermenting and it's bubbling like a mofo. Live and learn.
