Proprietary Yeast

I was wondering if any one could share the process for making my own yeast strain. Much like the big companies use, I would like to move the ball down the field and have something that is only at my residence. Any thoughts? i know a bit about the process all ready but I didnt know if any one else has good experience with this or not.

I collected wild for my house strain, and it is really delightful. As for commercial approaches, your guess is mine.

It outlines how to collect and isolate a strain of yeast. Even doing a general search around the lambic/wild yeast section will give you some good results.

As far as the proprietary strain of commerical beers, I'm fairly certain that some breweries use the same types of yeast that we're able to buy from the LHBS.
