Hi all. Looking for a little advice. About to bottle a 2.5 gallon batch of an Old Chub Scotch Ale clone. My question is what volume would you suggest? I have researched a number of different places and I see anything from 1.9 to 2.3. What would you folks recommend?

middle? 2.1?

its your preference. I like most of my "malty" styles 2.0-2.2. Maybe a big imperial stout a bit lower but it just depends on your tastes

It's easy enough to remove carbonation by pouring hard or swirling if you think you have a little too much, but a lot harder to put CO2 back in the beer. I say go 2.3.

I'd go for 2.2, nice middle ground and I doubt it will be too fizzy for the style. Especially if you're priming, I'd err on the side of higher CO2 than less.
