Hi everyone, this is my first post and first batch of premium lager that I'm making. My question is how much sugar and water would you suggest for around 20L of lager. I'm thinking of solution rather than adding sugar to the bottles as the bottles are different sizes!
Thanks in anticipation :ban:

Think I posted this in the wrong section earlier, newbie!

It's best to use a priming calculator.

2.5 volumes of CO2 is pretty reasonable.

The temperature you enter is the highest temperature the beer reached since the end of fermentation.

The type of sugar matters.

Should be about 120g of table sugar. Dissolve it in some water, bring to a boil. Put it in your bottling bucket. Gently rack the beer on top. Stir gently. Proceed to bottling.

Welcome to HBT!

this is spot on but i place it in about 16oz of water. but i am sure you can use less. i would never stir it but i would rack the beer onto the solution and let it mix as it racks over. that's what i preferred to do, i use to mix it but i was afraid of infection and over mixing the beer.
