The background
I am soon to be gutting and rebuilding my basement kitchen (I have two, one upstairs for my roomates, and my own downstairs). Since I am going to have to fix the rig job where the circuit for the electric stove/oven was piggybacked off the dryer plug, I am going to have to run some more power from the panel into the kitchen. Since my garage is one wall away from the kitchen, and I would like the option to go electric down the line my question is this.

The question
Since I am already re-running a new 220 circuit for the kitchen, how many and what sort of circuits should I run as well so that I can have the service I need in the garage if/when I decide to go electric? Should I just wire in a secondary sub-panel in the garage instead?
