My cascades are anywhere from 12-20 with some long side arms and some short. However they have gone into flowering stage. I think they may be ripe by July. I think i will pick them by hand in he field and see if they flush again. Anyone have any input or have this happening to them? I will add that May was extremely hot (90s) and it has been in the 100s with the heat index all June.

I have been curious if mine could be harvested at the end of the month as well some have started browning, but all of the articles I have read said its better to pick to ripe than not enough ripe.

Pick them when they're ready to be picked. Pinch the cones. If they feel papery, they're ready to pick.
