I'm wanting to go ebiab in the future and am thinking about gfci protection. From what I see the inline cord is basically outdated and deemed unsafe.

I'm renting so I can't permanently instal a spa panel. But I would like to stay 240 so in the future I could go this route.

Is it possible to build a spa panel with the idea of plugging it into a current 4 prong stove plug? Is this a safe idea?

I apologize if this topic has been brought up before. I'm sure it has. I have googled the topic quite a bit and get a lot of unrelated info.

Any advice or warning would be helpful. Thanks.

Yes, my spa panel has a cord that plugs into the dryer outlet and has a 4 prong outlet that I installed on the side of the box. Look up "spa panel wiring for dummies" which is a thread P-J wrote for exactly this purpose.
