I was thinking I'd use one of the above colanders and sit it on top of the steamer rack that came with my pots.

Then as long as my dip tube is under the steamer rack it'll all fit in there nicely.

I just ordered a 50 litre pot with an aluminum strainer from Home Hardware for under $190.00, the only gotcha is I have to pick it up at a store. The pot is $97.00 Cdn and the strainer is $70.00 Cdn.
Just wanted to pass it along as we don't often get deals down here.
I will update with the pots thickness and quality when I get it.

oops, almost forgot, they also sell this same pot at Home Depot Canada, but it's around $106, so an extra 10 bucks, might be worth it if you have no Home Hardware in your area.
