I mostly use dry yeast, and I can't understand the calculation... can you put it simple for me? when I need to use two packets in a 5 gallons batch? (more than 1.055? 1.060? 1.065?)

From what I understand 1 packet (11.5 grams) of dry yeast will be enough for most 5 gallon batches until you get over 1.070 then you might want to go 1.5 packets. Use the mrmalty calc to find out for sure.
