i have a saison that i made and is currently sitting in a BB.. problem is i went to all this trouble to get the pink peppercorns that i wanted to try out but then on brewday i totally forgot them :mad:

any ideas on how much i should use in the BB.. i need to dryhop a couple of hoppy beers as well so i figured i'd put some in when i do that with a couple days left, but am not sure about the quantity or about whether or not (or how much) to crush the pink peppercorns .. any ideas would be great!
 
I think you just need to make an educated guess and go for it. Record the amount and method then next time will be just right. Use of coffee is very well documented, but my first try was still a flop, no detectable flavor. My adjustment from that experiment was perfect for the next time.

I would just crush a few oz and soak in vodka for a day, then dump it all in.
