I really love Pilsner Urquell. Probably because of the Saaz. I don't have the equipment or patience to lager something. Could this be done as a Kolsch and use a similar hop schedule? My thought is that since Kolsch yeast fermented at lower temps (perhaps in the basement at 60-65) would produce a very clean fermenting beer. Let me know if anyone has any thoughts on this. I'd love to experiment with this one.

i am trying to figure our the same thing, some of the yeasts i was recomended are S-05, Wyesat 1007. not sure but i am considering WLP 810

I did a schwarzbier with Wyeast's Kolsch yeast that scored a 39.5 in a competition. It fooled the judges into thinking it was a lager.
