Anyone out there ever "brew" perry? If so, any idea where one could purchase the pears needed to properly ferment the alcohol? Other than growing the fruit itself.
 
I think a lot of perry makers press their own fresh pears, but you can find pear juice in some specialty grocery stores. Just look out for preservatives.
 
Rw Knudsen(expensive) has some that I've used with positive results. I also purchased trader joe's "cinnamon pear cider" which I really enjoyed, but it has a good bit of apple in the mix so it would not be a traditional perry. Good luck
