This is my second AG brew. A friend gave me the recipe for a 10 gallon batch. Not quite there yet, so I broke it in half.

This is for a club competition, so not a huge deal, but something I want to be somewhat serious about.

Of course it couldn’t go right! Tun was stuck, had to go to a fundraiser and had to stop the boil 15 minutes early. Reboiled, chilled and got 1.060. I can work with that, tastes good. Air lock in, put the kid to bed and clean up time and see this.

My first cream ale, first time using whirlfloc... is this settling normal? Or is my messed up brew day to blame?

Not worried, going to ride it out and enjoy.

Cool! I’ve never seen a separation like that before. Have yeast farts so all is well.
