Did you have to leave the bottles in a little longer then 10 min due to their thickness?

Right or wrong, I don't tend to babysit them too close. 12-22oz, thick or thin glass, I let it ride for 20 min or more. The pot I use is big enough to do 1/2 a 5 gal batch at a time so I've never felt the need to hurry things along. Better safe than sorry, and wouldn't hurt to bump your time up a bit id think.

Sounds good! I have a relative that recently started keeping bees, and she happens to like mead...... Can't wait for the bartering to begin! :)

I think I'm ok making cider and wine mead is great but it takes forever
