I am attempting a clone recipe that calls for Patagonia c170 and I’m not sure I can get my hands on that. Is there a crystal malt that would be a good substitute? Thanks for any advice!
Cheers

Weyermann CaraAroma is around 130-170 Lovibond
BESTMALZ Special X ranges from 115 to 150 Lovibond
Crisp Extra Dark Crystal ( I can find it in Europe ) is around 150 Lovibond ( 400 EBC )

I've tried Crisp and Weyermann and both were really good. In beers like Bitters, Amber, Red and Brown ales these two malts will let themselves known, so unless you are ageing the beer you are using it in, don't go overboard with any of these two.
