Going to be trying to do not only my first partigyle, but want to try doing a decoction as well. Hoping to not to get too mushy of a mash for all the run off I'll be doing. Considering adding some rice hulls after my last decoction to the mash to help out. Any thoughts?

Also here is my recipe for this adventure:

Doppelbock
5gal batch
OG est 1.084 (thinking 58-60% efficiency)
IBU 27
SRM 26

Grain:
Munich 10L - 96.5%
CaraAroma 130L - 2.5%
Midnight Wheat - 1%

Hop additions:
Hallertauer mittelfruh - 2oz 60 minutes
Hallertauer mittelfruh - 1oz 15 minutes

Yeast:
Wyeast 2124 Bohemian lager

Going to rest in 10 gallons water at 144F for 20 minutes, decoct 5qts for a 15 minutes boil then add back to my mash to raise to 158F and hold for 20 minutes. Decoct another 5qt for a 15 minute boil and add back to raise to 170F for 10 minutes. Then vorlauf and drain 6.5 gallons of wort. Boil will be 1.5hrs.

Dunkel
5gal batch

Grain:
Same as above, second runnings

Hops:
Hallertauer mittelfruh - 1oz 60 minutes
Hallertauer mittelfruh - 0.5oz 15 minutes
(may change depending on pre-boil gravity)

Yeast:
Wyeast 2124 Bohemian lager

Drain any remaining wort if any from dobbelbock. Add 3 gallons water at 150F to the hot grain and let sit for 20 minutes. Vorauf and drain. Sparge with enough water to get 6 gallons of wort. Boil will be 1hr
