Outlaw Orzo !!

Does anyone else have a severe orzo phobia?
The Queen made orzo chicken soup today. I can't get near it.
This pasta looks like maggots.
There's probably some therapy for this......

Yum, yum. Tasty maggots! They're a delicacy in some parts of the world. I guess to some, spaghetti could look like long, skinny worms. Then there is orecchiette, ear shaped pasta. You could imagine biting into someone's ear, like Mike Tyson. But to each his own. We all have our phobias, whether we admit it or not.

I've definitely made beer with maggots. Not intentionally of course. At least twice. No bad effect, and really it might have helped.

Yes, I drank it. A mass of maggots shot out of my plate chiller as I started recirculating boiling wort through it to sanitize it. I guess flies got into it (I store outdoors). I don't think this had any effect on the beer.

After happening twice, I started storing plate chiller with dust caps on ports, and also hosing out before putting into system on brewday.
