Hi all,
I planted 8 rhizomes, 4 varieties x 2 rhizomes, each in individual planter pots. I set up a trellis that's only 10 feet, but that's just something I'm going to have to deal with given the setup of my house.
I planted about 2 weeks ago, and I have 1 sprout popped up in one of the pots. Is that normal for one to pop way before the others, or should I dig in and lift the rhizomes up a little bit? I thought I did a good job of keeping the plants at the "ground level" of the pots but I'm not sure with one of the sprouts popping.
This is my first year brewing and growing hops. The beer has been great but I'm outside of Boston MA so our spring was late this year and I'm hopping I can have some hops available for a wet hop brew this fall.
Thanks!
