hey guys.
I bought a new shiner keg the other day and tapped it this morning.

The line is pure co2 with a little bit of foam. You can hear the co2 rush out and see the beer line just has a bit of foam.

This is different from when I first balanced the system and got a steady pour of foam. This shoots out like explosive diarrhea..

I took the sankey tap apart and cleaned it.
It seems fine.

I tried zeroing the pressure and purging then slowly raising it.
Same problem.

I tried raising it to 17. Same problem.

I am at a loss for why the line is full of co2.

Any ideas?

Well, it looks like it just needed a good half hour of waiting while I researched the issue.

I just went out and tried it again and got a nice steady pour after an initial blast of co2.

I'll let it sit a little while longer and try again.

Weird.

I was never able to get it to work.
Today I took the keg back and exchanged it.

The new keg poured perfectly.

I assume it was just a bad keg.

When I finally tried the beer in the bad keg it had a copper penny taste.
