I have a bunch of 1 gallon Fisher Scientific glass jugs and saw the 1-gallon beer kits on NB and thought they would go perfect together(except for head space but that's what a blow-off tube is for right?)

These kits come with the fizzy-drops for carbonation. I would like to skip the step of bottling and carbonate right in the fermenter(the jug). Is anyone familiar with these type of HPLC grade jugs and know if they are able to hold pressure?

Thanks! FYI, these used to hold HPLC grade methanol which I have cleaned well and dried in a hood, so no worries about going blind :cross:

UPDATE

If anybody else is ever interested in using these bottles, I contacted Fisher. They said they dont recommend pressurizing them and they have a coating on the inside "Safe-Cote" which is made from PVC
