Hello all,

I've been brewing for about 6 months, buying NB kits to make almost all of my beers. I thought I would take a chance on making an Oktoberfest Ale since I don't have the capability to lager, and I wanted to create my own recipe. I came up with the following recipe, and was wondering if I could get some feedback. I plugged it into Brewer's Friend, and it came out to style, but it doesn't mean it'll be good.

Oktoberfest Ale (Oktoberfale?)

Steep - 1 lb Belgian CaraMunich

Boil:
1 lb DME Pilsen
3.3 lb LME Munich
3.3 lb LME Pilsen (late addition)

1 oz German Tradition @ 60 min

Yeast: planning on us-05

Expected OG: 1.057
Expected FG: 1.016
Expected ABV: 5.4%
Expected IBU: 21.5

Thanks for the feedback!

I like to use the Wyeast 1007 German Ale yeast. Fermented for the first couple days at 58 until it starts to slow then I ramp up to 66-68 until it finishes.

Munich extract is usually 50/50 Munich and base malt. So with that recipe you only have about 20% Munich. So I would change all of your extract to Munich extract.
