I have a recipe that calls for US Northern Brewer hops, but all I can find at my LHBS are German Northern Brewer hops. Are these two varieties interchangeable, or are these two completely different hops?

Same plant grown in two different parts of the world. While this may lead to slight differences, I wouldn't hesitate to use them interchangeably.
