so purchased a ris kit from noble grape. same instructions as the honey brown kit i had from them last time these are kits with steeping grains.

recipe is

700g crystal malt crushed
200g chocolate malt crushed
200g roasted barley
6.5kg dark lme

boiling hops 56g northern brewer

yeast windsor british style beer yeast

there is no way im using the same directions in need of some direction.

says an abv of 9 help.

For a steeping grain + LME kit beer, the only real variation is when you add the hops.

I would think with an RIS, bittering hops at the beginning of the 60 min. boil is appropriate.

should have added that they only want me to keep in primary for 3 days then secondary for 7-10 then bottle. then says ready to drink in 7-10 days and will improve for a month. these are the instructions that im not happy with. this is how they tell you to brew everything they sell.
