No rubber washer..? Reach for a Bung and make a hole.

Converting a new cooler/mash tun and could not find a decent washer to stop the leak. Then a Bung came to action, no more leaks.

Silicone bakeware is handy for this as well.

I like it. I just converted a cooler by using a plastic water cooler spigot instead of an expensive metal valve. I had the spigot on hand.
