hi guys, so i racked into my first keg yesterday afternoon. as per my LHBS instructions, i put 20#'s of pressure, purged a couple times, to get rid of 02, and put 20#'s back on and rocked it for 15 minutes.

i put 20#'s on it again, in the kegerator, and turned the gas off.

this afternoon, the keg had zero pressure in it, when i went to purge and adjust to pouring pressure.

is this normal, or do i have a leak for sure? i did the soap test and no bubbles.

did the beer absorb all the C02? it is flat as i pour now @ 10PSI.

please advise. thanks!

You need to keep the pressure on the keg while force carbing. The beer inside your keg adsorbed all the CO2 and needs more to get up to final carbonation. You will need at least a week on the CO2 at 14 psi to get it up to proper carbonation.

as it turns out.....the release valve was jammed just a hair.

lost the whole bottle I JUST BOUGHT! dangnabit.

I always take a quick listen for obvious leaks when I touch my kegs. Saved me a few times when my gas connector wasn't seated completely or the pressure release was slightly open.
