Just picked this up for under $40 delivered, pretty stoked to give it a go. 7"x7" top and it's silent until you get to about 75% then it's a barely audible whirr. Has a really strong 3/8"x2.5" bar magnet in it so I think it'll spin just about anything that'll fit into a flask.
The guy I got this one from has another for sale with a built in hotplate that goes over 700 deg. F, so you could definitely use it to boil. Really good prices on both of these but he charged me a lot for shipping, but you'd still probably get it for about half of what they are going for on ebay.
