Hello-
I am new to this home brew thing. Been wanting to do it for years and finally took the leap. Brewed my first batch on Sunday the 13th. English Bitter Ale Extract Brew. Will be bottling it. So far so good, seems to be burping away in the carboy. Any advice on cleaning the crud built up at the top of my aluminum boil pot? Also, anyone from Santa Clarita? Is there a home brewers group out here?
Thanks and wish me luck
Todd

Welcome to the site! What kind of crud build up are you referring to? Is it trub from brewing? I just use soap and hot water with a scouring pad.

Just the scum left on the rim from the boil. I was hoping there was a magic secret. From what I've found it's just soap and water and elbow grease. Thanks
