After taking a few years off from brewing, I decided to plant some hops this Spring which in turn provoked me to build a new brew system. The hops are growing like mad, and my brew system is now complete, including the first batch, a Sierra Nevada clone-ish. A friend helped me put the system together last weekend. We built a ten gallon, three tiered system using two kegs and a cooler, a couple turkey fryers, some hoses and fitting and a plate chiller. We nailed the first batch at 1.052, which is exactly what the recipe called for. I plan to keg the beer. So far so good. Looking forward to getting back into it. Will post a link to photos soon.
