I just recently purchased a 3/4" tri clover dip tube for a Speidel fermenter from Jaybird at Norcal Brewing equipment. I am also going to also need a 3/4" ball valve, a nipple for the end of it, and a couple of 3/4" tri clamps and seals to complete the set up. Can anybody recommend a good resource to purchase these items from? Any suggestions are much appreciated.

I'll try this again. I have looked at Brewhardware for some of these items. They carry a "pull apart" ball vale that looks very easy to clean. I was hoping someone would chime in if they knew of better options to purchase tri clover hardware.

Brewershardware.com is another option...

You don't need to stick with 3/4 for the ball valve unless you really want to... 1/2 is cheaper and way easier to find...

I would use a 3/4 tri clamp to 1/2 or 3/4 npt adapter and get a two piece or three piece ball valve and the appropriate nipple or or adapter for your application.

eBay is your friend as well

Hey universalfrost, I appreciate the suggestion. Since I'm using this in the fermenter I wanted to eliminate any threaded fittings. BTW if I read the link correctly the 1/2" and 3/4" clamps are the same/interchangeable?

Yes..

Here's a chart that explains it

https://www.glaciertanks.com/sizing.html

  1. For smaller OD tubing (1/2" & 3/4") and (1" & 1.5"), the Tri Clamp ferrules sizes are combined for each pair
The 1/2" and 3/4" tubes both share the 3/4" Tri Clamp ferrule (0.984" flange), and the same is true for the 1" and 1.5" tubes which share the 1.5" Tri Clamp ferrule (1.984" flange) - two clamp sizes for 4 different fittings. As a result, two pairs of different sized tubing are compatible and can be connected together.

go with a real sanitary butterfly valve if your looking for sanitary. otherwise its counterproductive to the point of TC fittings.. they are $35 shipped on ebay and worth every penny vs pulling apart ball valves and cleaning them between each use.. I buy most of my stuff on either ebay or brewhardware as far as tri clamp... some stuff Ive found way cheaper on aliexpress though.
