I based this recipe off of EdWorts Rye IPA, but beefed it up and added some black patent to darken things up a bit. Here goes...

2lbs Vienna
12oz Black Patent
12oz Cara60
8oz Flaked Barley
Mashed in at 148 for 75 minutes
1oz Tettnang FWH
.75oz Chinook @ 60
.75oz Chinook @ 25
1oz Chinook @ 15
1oz Chinook @ 5
.5oz Chinook @ Flameout
3oz Chinook Dry Hop
I missed my OG by .02 so i boiled an extra 40 minutes, but was still short (i blame this on trying to mess with an EdWort recipe...lesson learned), came out at 1.075 instead of the 1.096 target.
Pitched a big starter of WLP001, then added a pound of corn sugar after the major activity started to slow. It ended up at an FG of 1.008, nice and dry.
Still waiting on this beast to carb, but the one i cracked open tonight is delicious, despite being flat. Can't wait for this to carb up and mellow out a tad. Should be a deliciously complex beer!
