Thought I'd post some pics of my new kegerator that was a 4.5 cu. ft. Danby convert. Took a total of 3 hours from start to finish, but totally worth it! Perfect model of mini-fridge for a convert because there isn't a freezer and the cooling plate is at the back of the unit. I'd be happy to answer and questions anyone might have about this particular model if they are thinking of doing something similar!! http://cdn.homebrewtalk.com/images/smilies/rockin.gif

I'm getting ready to build this same model. I noticed that I can't fit 2 cornies (converted ball lock) side by side in this unit out of the box. Did you have to cut the side molds or not? Thanks!

Sdbyrd-

I had to cut out some of the molding on the inside door. I used aluminum tape to protect the insulation. Other than that, no other modifications! It's a tight squeeze, but it works!

Best of luck to you!

Nick

Sorry for the late replies, just now seeing these posts! The model is as follows:

"Danby Designer DAR044A1BDD Compact All Refrigerator, 4.4 Cubic Feet." You can get an updated version of this refrigerator on amazon.com for about $189 present day. Here is the link:

I don't believe a carboy will fit in it because there is a small "step" at the back of the fridge.

Best,

Nick
