I have to do a lab report for my micro class. I am comparing SG readings over time between 1 batch using lager yeast s-23 the other using ale yeast provided. Both ingredients are exactly the same. 1 can Minton's bock plus 1lb. Extra light DME in 3.5 gallons water. Keep you posted if anyone is interested.
 
Same temp 63. That is the lowest temp I can maintain. I predict the ale yeast will finish faster. Ended up pitching Nottingham today. The Minton's yeast didn't kick off.
