My Ipa tastes sweet. almost like wine.

This is from an extract kit from my local home brew supply store, its conditioned for about a month or so, and the longer it conditions the worse it tastes. I tried it about a week after just to see how it was coming along and it tasted like an IPA, I was rather proud of myself. As I continue to wait to drink it, it continually tastes worse and worse. its starting to taste like a wine. Any help as to why would be greatly appreciated.

Oxidation can cause some sherry-like flavors. That would also go along with getting worse with time.
