Very nice! What a unique design; to me it has a 'western' feel but not a saloon. What was your inspiration?

Well, eventually, it'll have a little more of a "nautical" theme (hence the brass, but those dang perlicks are $$$). More brass to follow (Foot rail, trimming). Eventually, there will be an entire back facade to it, with a center mirror, but for now, I'm happy!

Is the top piece with the handles like a hatch that you pick up...then pull the freezer lid up?

The top is lifted out. I thought about having it on hinges, but the additional clearance needed would have gotten in the way of the keezer lid, so functionally, removable worked out better.
