You need to have a source of 220v power. If you have that then using electricity can become an advantage. Because of size constraints of the mash tub the largest starting gravity beer you can brew is around 1.057. You can always add DME to the boil for an occasional big beer brew.

The video said something about having to add water after the boil to get to 5 gallons. That combined with the limit on the amount of grain it could hold could be challenging.

But I love how compact the whole thing is.

You could by the larger 50 liter version if you want to do larger batches or avoid having to top off at the end of the boil. That is, of course, if your budget can handle the $3,000 cost. It is a neat system though. Dem Germans make good stuff!
