Monitor, keyboard and mouse vs control pannel

Hi all,

I have to build a control panel for my son and i ask me how do you wire your control panel
between the raspberry Pi and or the Uno and the monitor, mouse and keyboard.

Do you use a connector on box of the control panel similar to this https://www.aliexpress.com/item/328...1.0&pvid=a9679220-96e6-4e56-a4b3-cbe11cb09dd3

For the monitor, do you use HDMI or D-sub ?

And someone have a sketh drawing how to wire this.

I used this on my panel for my craft beer pi setup.

But I only use it for when I can't get a network connection to the Pi. It all runs in a web server from the Pi that I access from a laptop.

Having the pi also drive a monitor can sometimes drag performance down.
